One day farmers training for Paddy field Pest Management and Line Transplanting

ANMA Integrated Development Association (AIDA), implementing the SBI Gram Seva programme in the five adopted villages of Bade, Diezephe, Khriezephe, Tsithrongse and Urra organized a one day training for the farmers on Paddy Field Pest Management and Line Transplanting. The training was organized at Diezephe village council hall in collaboration with the Agriculture Department of Chumoukedima District, Nagaland. A Big percentage of our farmers still follow the traditional ways of farming ignoring the scientific or modern methods of farming. This practice prevents the farmers from obtaining the maximum production from their farming. Therefore, there is a felt need to educate our farmers in the use of modern and scientific methods of farming in order to increase the output from their farm production; besides, the farmers need to have knowledge on the proper ways of managing the pest problems they face in their farming. The resource persons were Mr. Rokovotsolie and Mr. Aripong Ao Agriculture Officers, and Mr. Mayangtemba, Agriculture Field Assistant from Agriculture Department Chumoukedima district, Nagaland. 60 farmers from the above mentioned 5 adopted villages participated the training and gained knowledge on how to manage the use of Paddy pest and on the proper method of line transplanting for better out come on their farm production. The participants were very happy to learn the news ways of increasing the production farm production.
