Quality Seeds to 5 adopted Villages

The ANMA Integrated Development Association (AIDA) SBI Foundation- Gram Seva Programme under resilient agriculture conducted Kitchen Garden training cum awareness for the adopted villages. The training aimed at empowering unskilled women on better practice of organic and scientific method of farming to grow their own food-fresher & healthier and to have nutritional food-herbs in order to boost their livelihood income by encouraging kitchen garden practices in their backyard.  

The objective is to provide skilling ways to ensure economic growth of the unskilled women. The SBI Gram Seva-AIDA distributed green nets, watering can and quality seeds like hot pepper hybrid almora, bitter gourd hybrid, long yard bean, okra hybrid, cucumber hybrid clara, bitter gourd hybrid-little champ. A total of 155 kitchen garden primary partners availed the opportunities.

The practical demonstration was conducted on land preparation – initiated by Livelihood Officer, KT Khino Anal, Convergence Officer Mhonlumi Ezung, Market Development Officer from MNC Syngenta Company Mr. Akshay Chauhan & Ms. Achano W Tsopoe along with our primary partners. The session starts with preparation of seedbeds raising from the ground level, level of spacing, removal of stones, bushes and weeds, making compost pits and rechargeable pits, farmyard twigs etc to be used as organic manure were demonstrated. 

The awareness cum demonstration session was fruitful as the primary partners expressed their gratitude that kitchen garden has never been more valuable as it comprises of green vegetables and fruit tree which is potential and harvested easily from their farm whenever they need.
